DURHAM, N.C. – The Coastal Plain League (CPL) announced today the participants for the 2026 All-Star Spotlight Skills Competition to be hosted by the Florence Flamingos in Florence, S.C., at Carolina Bank Field on Monday night, July 6.

There will be two competitions followed by a fireworks show on Monday. First will be the Fastest Man competition where runners will tag up at second base and race home individually with their times being recorded. There will be six competitors in total (three from each division All-Star team) with the two runners with the best times from both the East and West advancing to the championship round. The fastest time between those two finalists will be take home the title of the 2026 CPL All-Star Fastest Man. The six participants for the Fastest Man competition were selected based on stolen base leaders who were interested in competing. The six are:

East: Benton Jones // Lynchburg // Peninsula
East: Ethan Belk // Wofford // Holly Springs
East: Reece Moody // James Madison // Peninsula
West: Gavin Nix // LSU-Eunice // Martinsville
West: Tanner Britt // Cleveland CC // Forest City
West: Brady McGuire // Seton Hill // Asheboro

Following the Fastest Man competition will be the Home Run Derby. There will be eight All-Stars (four from the East and four from the West) competing in the derby, which will consist of three rounds. The top two batters per division after the first round will advance to the second round. Then the leader from the East and West after that point will face off for the crown in the championship round. The eight participants for the Fastest Man competition were selected based on stolen base leaders who were interested in competing. The eight are:
