DURHAM, N.C. – The Coastal Plain League (CPL) announced today the rosters for the 2026 All-Star Spotlight to be held in Florence, S.C., at Carolina Bank Field on July 6 and 7. This marks the 25th annual version of the league’s summer classic.

The players were voted upon within their division (East and West) by CPL head coaches, front office staff, broadcasters, official scorers, and local media representatives from each market. Since the game is being played in Florence, the West CPL All-Stars will be the home team while the East CPL All-Stars will serve as the visitors.

Earning the start on the mound for the East CPL All-Stars will be Morehead City’s Aiden Newton, as he earned the most votes of any East Division pitcher and therefore will take the bump first. The 6-3, 205-pound right-hander from Mount Olive is 2-1 with a 3.86 ERA thus far on the season. In five starts, he has thrown 21 complete innings, giving up 12 runs – nine earned – on 21 hits, while walking 11 and striking out 25.

Toeing the rubber first for the West CPL All-Stars will be Lexington County’s Kyle Stock. The 6-1, 195-pound righty hails from USC Aiken and was the leading vote-getter at pitcher in the West. So far in 2026, he is 3-0 with a 3.21 ERA. In 28 innings of work, he’s allowed 13 runs – 10 earned – on 22 hits, walked 9 and struck out 27.

Offensively, the East will be led by Wilmington’s Mackenzie Wainwright (Tampa) and Carlos Reece Moody (James Madison) from the Pilots. Mackenzie leads the East Division in batting average at .377 to go with a league-best 28 runs scored and 32 RBIs, which is tied for the league-high. Moody, who is slashing .373/.495/.530 currently has 31 hits, including four doubles and three home runs.

Countering them for the West will be the Bacon’s Stewart Puckett (South Alabama) and Lexington County’s Alex LaCoste (College of Charleston). Puckett leads the league with a powerful .521 average, while also sporting a .917 slugging percentage and an on-base percentage of .545. LaCoste, meanwhile, swings .412 with 13 runs, 27 RBIs and 10 walks. Both have three home runs thus far on the summer.

The head and assistant coaches for both the East and West All-Star teams will be announced on Thursday. Full All-Star rosters will be posted to the All-Star page of the league’s site on Thursday afternoon following the announcement of the All-Star coaches.
