1999 MLB Draft


The Coastal Plain League announced that 24 players, both former and current players signed for the 1999 season, were drafted in the 1999 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft. University of North Carolina’s Kyle Snyder, a 1997 Raleigh Redwolves pitcher, became the highest- drafted alumnus ever, chosen by the Kansas City Royals in the first round, seventh overall. This year’s 24 drafted CPL alums doubles last year’s total of twelve.
