The Coastal Plain League announced today that Zane Harris of Edenton was named Hitter of the Week, while Kristopher Kuhn of Florence earned Pitcher of the Week honors for the abrreviated post All-Star break, seventh week of CPL action (July 11 – July 14.)

Harris made the most of a shortened week, hitting a .444 clip across four games and 18 at-bats for the Steamers. The Wright State redshirt-freshman scored five runs while collected eight total hits, including two doubles, two home runs and eight RBIs for a .889 slugging percentage and .444 on-base percentage.

On the mound, Kuhn, College of Charleston sophomore,  was dominant for the RedWolves in a complete game effor versus the Savannah Bananas on July 14. The right-hander went nine innings, allowing only one run and three hits for a 1.13 ERA and .100 opponent’s batting average. Kuhn now sits third in the league with a 2.34 ERA on the season and fourth in strikeouts with 46.
