Isaacson and Luigs Named Week Four Coastal Plain League Players of the Week


The Coastal Plain League announced today that Peyton Isaacson of Holly Springs was named Hitter of the Week, while Kyle Luigs of Savannah earned Pitcher of the Week honors for the fourth week of CPL action (June 17 – June 24.)

Isaacson, a junior at Saint Leo, turned it up a notch in week four as he posted a .542 average across six games played. The second-year Salamander finished the week with 13 total hits, including four doubles, two home runs and nine RBIs for a .958 slugging percentage. Overall, he managed an impressive .560 on-base percentage helping him to six runs scored on the week.

On the mound, Luigs was almost perfect out of the pen in his two appearances for the Bananas. The right-hander did not allow a run across 6 2/3 innings pitched while allowing only one hit and walking none for a 0.16 WHIP and .050 batting average against. Luigs also struck out 10, helping the North Georgia sophomore to a 13.5 K/9 on the week.
