DURHAM, NC – The Coastal Plain League (CPL) unveiled its new branding on Monday. The branding includes a new overall look that consists of the primary logo, custom script and when the league was established.
“Today kicks off an exciting new era for the Coastal Plain League,” said CPL Commissioner Chip Allen. “Our new brand and logo capture the energy, creativity, and innovation that fuel everything we do. It’s a fresh look that nods to where we’ve been—but even more, it points to where we’re headed. The future is bright, and we’re just getting started!”
Looking at the primary logo itself, the four stars represent the four great states that make up the CPL: Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. The colors are also representative. The green is used to recognize all of the league’s inland teams, while the lighter blue represents our coastal clubs. The Navy Blue embodies the league as a whole, encapsulating our portion of the Southeast.
The CPL was started in 1997 and with the exception of changing its primary colors following it’s 10th Anniversary season in 2006, the original logo remained intact. But as we get ready to begin our 29th season in 2025, we look to the future and feel this new branding best represents where we are headed…forward as The Future Is Now!
