Rey was dominant in his two relief appearances for the Tobs on July 25 versus Wilmington and July 29 versus Peninsula. Between the two games, the Nova Southeastern rising sophomore put up five shutout innings, earning the win in both games while striking out 11 batters, allowing no hits and walking only one. His effort helped him end the 2021 season with a 3.00 ERA and 29 strikeouts across 15 innings pitched.
